CURATOR, speaker & programmer

As a Curator, Speaker & Programmer, my work extends beyond traditional curation to leverage the arts as a platform for world-building and cultural transformation. My journey as a multidisciplinary artist across music, film, creative direction, and public art has given me a unique perspective, bridging underground and mainstream artistic communities and grounding my work in a nuanced understanding of Canada’s arts landscape. Through Cartel Madras and FOREIGNERZ, I’ve developed an artistic philosophy that resonates across creative disciplines, advocating for inclusivity and amplifying marginalized voices within Canada’s art ecosystem.

My expertise in these areas has led to programming and curating for various festivals and institutions, including the Calgary International Film Festival, Sled Island, and Arts Commons, where I create accessible, impactful spaces for emerging voices to thrive. As a speaker, I’ve presented at international festivals, conferences, and lectures on topics such as world-building, storytelling across disciplines, and my role as a cultural architect. From lectures at Pop Kulture Berlin to panels at SXSW, my talks explore building strong artistic brands, the influence of underground movements on culture, and creating authentic, equitable spaces within the arts.

In projects like the Arts Commons TD Artist Incubator Program, where I curated and mentored 20 artists over one year, my approach combines strategic artist selection with an in-depth understanding of the competitive arts landscape. Through FOREIGNERZ, I continue to champion fresh voices and bold ideas, fostering a forward-thinking, inclusive arts ecosystem in Canada and beyond.
